The Sunday Before Easter

The Sunday before Easter is a time of celebration. It is Palm Sunday. We celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The crowds greeted Jesus by waving palm branches and covering his path with palm branches. This event was written about in the first 4 books of the New Testament:
Mark 11:1-11, Matthew 21:1–11, Luke 19:28–44, John 12:12–19.

Knowing the story of Palm Sunday helped me as a young child to understand how loved and revered Jesus was. Helping our children to celebrate Palm Sunday can be both fun and a lesson learned. Read your favorite Bible selection from above. Make Palm Leaf Sun Catchers, and Color Jesus Entering Jerusalem. Then make and enjoy Palm Sunday Cookies.
