Why Do We See Easter Lilies on Crosses?

The opening of the Easter lily trumpet symbolizes God sounding the call for His Son, Jesus Christ, to come home to heaven.

The selection of white lilies is symbolic of purity and freedom from sin. For as it says in 1 Peter 2:24, who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

It is also legend that lilies grew wherever Jesus' tears fell, offering hope to those who believe in Him.
