A woman once said to me, "Jesus is God. They are one in the same." I said, "No. Jesus is the son of God."
Jesus tells us in John 3:16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Jesus teaches us in how to pray to God in Matthew 6:9-13...In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever.
Amen.
Jesus prays to God in Luke 22:41-42...And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
Jesus came from God our Father in John 1:1 & 1:14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
It seems pretty clear to me that God is the Almighty. God Loves us. God sent a part of Himself (a part of the Trinity) to us in the human form to instruct us and to die on the cross to wash away our sins so that we may have eternal life. God commands the actions of His son, Jesus. Jesus makes God's commands known to us. God asks us to believe in His Son and follow His commands.
