Saying Thank You for Christian Leadership

September 21st - 27th is Christian Leadership Week.

We have so many Christian leaders throughout our lives. A loving childhood Sunday school teacher, an understanding teen group leader, a giving womens group leader, an insightful mens group leader. Men and women who take the time from their lives to help us in ours.
During Christian Leadership Week, many Christian teachers study training courses and/or attend seminars. They take time to learn the scriptures and their meanings, share their knowledge with us to guide us, and set an example for us. Why? Because they care about us and being an effective tool for the Lord.

I'm sure each of us can remember
a special time when one or all of our Christian leaders helped us in a way we desperately needed. A Sunday school teacher who sat with you after class and patiently helped you understand a Bible verse you had trouble with. A teen group leader who gave you extra hugs because your mom recently passed and you really needed them. A womens group leader who came to your home and helped you find the scripture that brought Christ's light to your problem. A mens group leader who taught you how to stand strong through peace when you wanted to fight. We hold these memories and these Christian leaders dear to our heart, forever.

Sometimes it is hard to express in words just how much we value our Christian leaders. So perhaps during Christian Leadership week we can show them how much we appreciate them with an appropriate inspirational gift and a hand written note. Write about your special memory and thank your Christian leader for all he/she has done for you and others as well. Close with a suitable Bible verse;

Ruth 2:12
The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.

2 Samuel 2:6
And now may the LORD show kindness and truth to you. I also will repay you this kindness, because you have done this thing.

1 Corinthians 1:4-5
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge,

Numbers 6:24-26
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

God Bless Our Christian Leaders!

  1. Hi there! This post couldn't be written much better!
    Going through this article reminds me of my previous roommate!
    He always kept preaching about this. I'll forward this information
    to him. Fairly certain he's going to have a good read. Thank you for sharing!
